Dr. Sasaki who is Lecturer in our institute received the 2023 Hokkaido Science and Technology Encouragement Award.

The Hokkaido Government presents the Hokkaido Science and Technology Award as a governor's commendation to those who have made outstanding inventions and research in science and technology, and have made achievements in promoting economic and social development, such as promoting Hokkaido's industry and improving the lives of Hokkaido residents. Dr. Michihito Sasaki received the 2023 Hokkaido Science and Technology Encouragement Award for promoting basic research from the early stages of the outbreak of the new coronavirus infection and contributing to the development of the first domestically produced oral treatment drug.
