In our division, we are doing basic and epidemiological research for mosquito-borne virus diseases, rabies, and progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy.

We are trying to investigate virus-host interaction and pathogenesis of viral diseases by using molecular biological and cell biological methods and to develop therapeutic strategies for viral infection diseases in collaboration with the SHIONOGI & CO., LTD.

We also carry out epidemiological research in collaboration with the School of Veterinary Medicine University of Zambia to investigate life cycle of zoonotic viruses.
