鈴木教授が秩父宮妃記念結核予防国際協力功労賞を受賞しました。Prof. Suzuki was awarded the Princess Chichibu Memorial Prize for Meritorious Service in International Cooperation for Tuberculosis Prevention.

秩父宮妃記念結核予防功労賞は、半世紀以上にわたり結核予防会総裁を務められた秩父宮妃殿下のご遺志に報い、その御名を永く留めるために制定されたものです。受賞者（結核予防のために貢献された個人・団体より選考）に対して、総裁秋篠宮妃殿下より表彰状が授与されるものです。鈴木教授は、結核予防における国際協力への多大な功績が認められ本受賞に至りました。

The Princess Chichibu Memorial Tuberculosis Prevention Service Award was established to honor the legacy of Her Imperial Highness Princess Chichibu, who served as President of the Japan Society for the Prevention of Tuberculosis for more than half a century, and to keep her name alive for many years to come. A certificate of commendation is presented by Her Imperial Highness Princess Akishino to the recipient (selected from individuals and organizations that have contributed to the prevention of tuberculosis). Professor Suzuki was awarded this prize in recognition of his great contribution to international cooperation in tuberculosis prevention.
