To penetrate "VIRUSES"
ー From atomic/molecular elements to global ecology
A cutting-edge laboratory exploring "VIRUSES"
In our laboratory, we are investigating a wide range of aspects in virology, from viral protein structures at the atomic and molecular level to virial ecology at the global level.
Specifically, we are investigating viruses and viral infectious diseases from a variety of perspectives, including the development of antiviral drugs, the mechanisms involved in infection at the cellular and individual levels, the elucidation of the natural hosts and transmission routes of zoonotic viruses, and field epidemiological studies.
Through this multifaceted approach, we continue research to protect human and animal health, eventually aiming to control viral zoonoses.
